Congressional Polo Club is located a short distance from the heart of Washington D.C., nestled in the countryside and a stone’s throw from Potomac, Maryland. We offer a wide variety of equestrian activities ranging from Polo to riding lessons to trail Rides.
Congressional Polo Club boasts three polo fields, and event grandstand, an indoor arena, an outdoor arena and dressage practice fields. We offer a full range of boarding options for your horses with professional staff who live on the property. Through our polo academy we provide lessons in all equestrian sports year round and especially encourage and welcome young riders. In addition to all the equestrian activities, we host many cultural, charity and community events throughout the year. We also have the ability to host private corporate or personal events.

Seema Sharma
Director
Board Member
Seema is responsible for managing business operations at Congressional Polo Club. Her commitment started in 2005 when she first visited the club for a polo match and the rest is history. She is passionate about hosting elegant polo events and introducing as many people as possible in the local region to the beauty of polo. Seema is committed to using polo as a platform for charitable events supporting a variety of causes.
Seema and her husband, Rajeev, have two sons, Paras and Aman, who are polo players and the reason for the family's dedication to Congressional Polo Club. In addition to supporting polo in the National Capitol Region, Rajeev and Seema have sponsored tournaments in other parts of the world and look forward to hosting new teams and players with great DC hospitality.

Seema is the Director of communications at Alqimi Technology and has over 25 years of experience in the Information technology industry.

Aamir (Sunny) Khan
Polo Operations
Board Member
Aamir "Sunny" Khan oversees Polo Operations at Congressional Polo Club. He is a Commercial Airline Pilot with American Airlines. Sunny holds a 2 Goal USPA handicap. When he is not flying in the friendly skies, he pursues his passion for Polo in the U.S., India, Pakistan, Argentina, Chile and England.
Sunny and his wife, Iram, have a beautiful son, Rohail, who is training hard to be a better polo player than his Dad. Beside flying Planes and Polo, Sunny loves to travel and spend time with family and friends. Come see Sunny in action at Congressional Polo Club this Season.
Neil Agate

Board Member
Neil Agate is the founder of Four Gate, LLC a business and technology services firm that works with early stage companies and ASAPSites.com a web design, hosting and internet marketing agency. He is a board member of the British-American Business Association and is a co-chair of the Association’s Communications Committee.
Neil is active in the Maryland equestrian community serving as Vice President of the Maryland Horse Council and a board member of the Maryland Horse Industry Board. Neil started playing polo with the Muldoon family in the ‘80s on the same fields he now enjoys with Congressional Polo Club.
In addition to playing polo Neil enjoys introducing new fans to polo through announcing and has announced many polo matches up and down the East Coast. Originally from England, Neil has lived with his wife Kathy, two daughters and (currently) five horses in Darnestown, MD for the last 25 years.

Founded in 1890, the USPA is the national governing body for the sport of polo in the United States.
By being an official USPA Club, Congressional Polo Club enjoys the following benefits:

Representation at USPA by a voting delegate and the right to vote on issues impacting the sport
The ability to host USPA tournaments and instructional events umpired by certified umpires
Access to the USPA player handicapping system
Our club tournaments are played in accordance with USPA rules and we seek to apply the Constitution, By-Laws, and Directives of the USPA to club operations.
