EQUINE HEALTH & OUR VET
Equine Health and Barn Hygiene Is Our Priority
At Congressional Polo Club, horse health and safety is among our top priorities. As part of our best practices approach, we have enlisted Dr. Javier Donatelli as our official club veterinarian, with over 20 years of experience. He travels all over the region in what he calls his “hospital on wheels” which is fully equipped with medical supplies including a state-of-the-art x-ray machine.
He has prepared a specialized yearly health plan for our boarders to keep all horses at our facility on a consistent timeline. The visits are scheduled six times a year and each visit includes all vaccinations, deworming and Coggins Test. Participation in Dr. Donatelli’s health plan is not mandatory, but if you choose to participate in this program our boarding staff will manage the process for you and keep you updated before and after the visits. You will have the peace of mind knowing that your horses are immunized and dewormed at the same time as the other horses on the property.
